Mengingat kendala-kendala yang “menghadang” kendaraan BBN ( Biofuels [kendala ketersediaan sumber daya nabati]) maupun kendaraan listrik [kendala ketersediaan mineral logam, terutama logam tanah jarang seperti disprosium], saya memprakirakan bahwa ada 4 tipe utama kendaraan masa depan yang secara bersama akan ‘menjamin’ sustainable mobility , yaitu :
1. Bio-fueled IC vehicles (ICV).
2. Plug-in electric vehivles (EV).
3. Formic acid fuel cell vehicles (FCV).
4. Formic acid based hydrogen-fueled ICV.

Formic acid : cairan HCOOH (—–> H2 + CO2).

Some thoughts:

Given the constraints that “face” BBN vehicles (Biofuels [constraints in the availability of bio-resources]) and electric vehicles [constraints in the availability of metal minerals, especially rare earth metals such as dysprosium], I predict that there will be 4 main types of future vehicles that together will ‘guarantee’ sustainable mobility, namely:
1. Bio-fueled IC vehicles (ICV).
2. Plug-in electric vehicles (EV).
3. Formic acid fuel cell vehicles (FCV).
4. Formic acid based hydrogen-fueled ICV.
