The history of Department of Bioenergy Engineering and Chemurgy began when the science of bioenergy and chemurgy became a sub-department in the Department of Chemical Engineering ITB in 2013. Furthermore, after the approval of the ITB Senate, the Department of Bioenergy Engineering and Chemurgy was officially established in 2014 and accepted new students in 2015.
The inaugural lecture of the Department of Bioenergy Engineering and Chemurgy was held in August 2016 for 2015 students. This inaugural lecture marked the start of a new journey of this programs which is expected to contribute to the independence of the nation in managing Indonesia’s natural resources in the vegetable sector.
Department of Bioenergy Engineering and Chemurgy received BAN PT accreditation with B status.
