A Brief Story from PT Cipta Tani Lestari
PT Cipta Tani Lestari is a company that focuses on the development of waste treatment technology, especially biogas. PT Cipta Tani Lestari produces biogas reactors and WWTP and has a biogas reactor operating in West Bandung Regency, West Java Province. The company, which has been established since 2003, has become one of the locations for Practical Work for several students of the Department of Bioenergy Engineering and Chemurgy in 2021, namely Fauzi Bhakti Pratama (14517003), Yulina (14518002), and Fitrotun Nazilah (14518027) accompanied by lecturers advisor Dr. Aqsha and Astri Nur Istyami, S.T., M.T., and accompanied by field supervisor Andrias Wiji, S.T as the owner of PT Cipta Tani Lestari
Practical work activities carried out this year have a slight difference compared to previous years due to the integration between practical work activities and the MBKM (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka) program initiated by the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) RI. This practical work program is a means for students to receive training, learning, and application of knowledge to enter the world of work later. During the practical work period which lasted 2 months from June to August 2021, participants got many interesting experiences because they were given the opportunity to see firsthand the production site for the TENARI reactor (Teknologi Anak Negeri) which is made from fiberglass reinforced plastic and at the same time can see the process. biogas production starts from processing organic waste (which uniquely comes from a restaurant named Saung T&T which is located in the same place) and animal waste into the final product in the form of biogas which is reused at Saung T&T.
In addition, participants can also learn about the process of processing waste produced from the biogas production process in the form of sludge (sludge/slurry). In general, slurry (also called bioslurry) is used as raw material for making compost by drying. The compost is used to add nutrients to the plants in the PT Cipta Tani Lestari complex. In addition, the process of sorting waste before it is chopped and put into the reactor also produces liquid organic waste from food processing and consumption from Saung T&T Restaurant. The waste will be treated with liquid waste from the toilet at the WWTP.
Department of Bioenergy Engineering and Chemurgy, especially the participants who have implemented the MBKM industrial internship program, express their deepest gratitude for the industrial internship opportunity that has been provided.
